Is this professional group or individual counseling?
No. We are not licensed therapist and we do not provide group or individual therapy sessions. We have resources to share that can point you in the right direction. We strictly provide spaces to collectively discuss healthy mental health practices that are research based.
Is this only meant for Black Individuals?
No. We welcome EVERYONE, because mental health education benefits all. We tailor our information to benefit minoritized communities because a lot of popular statistics do not include them.
Can I invite you to speak at my school/ organization?
Of Course! We love speaking engagements and connecting with others. Head to the Getting Involved page and fill out one of our forms to reach out and request a speaking engagement!
How can I participate in meetings for the first time?
To join a meeting for the first time, reach out to your chapter president and look out for events they may host, all are welcome. To start a new chapter, head to our Getting Involved page!
How is my personal information protected?
Our events are public so although we cannot guarantee confidentiality we highly encourage it at all of our events. Anything shared personally will be confidential unless it is harmful for yourself or towards others.
Is sharing my story mandatory?
Sharing your story is completely optional and is not required to participate in our meetings or events. We encourage members to share their experiences, but only if they feel comfortable doing so.
